LEVEL I — Digital Foundations
Build the Foundation for Your IT Journey
Professional IT Foundations — Level I
Before you can troubleshoot a computer, configure a network, support a user, or protect a system, you need to understand the digital environment in which all of those activities take place.
Digital Foundations is the starting point of the Professional IT Foundations journey.
This level develops the essential knowledge and practical digital skills required to work confidently with computers, operating systems, files, applications, the Internet, and digital communication.
It establishes the vocabulary, concepts, habits, and fundamental abilities that will support everything that follows.
This is where the journey begins.
What You Will Develop
By completing Level I, learners will develop a solid foundation in:
- Computer fundamentals and basic technology concepts
- Operating systems and graphical user interfaces
- Digital literacy and everyday computer use
- Files, folders, applications, and digital information
- Internet and Web fundamentals
- Cloud-based services and online applications
- Digital communication and collaboration
- Professional digital behavior
The objective is not simply to become comfortable using a computer.
